Vision: Nurturing individuals towards everlasting excellence
and universal understanding.
Udayachal Primary School
is situated in the eastern suburbs of Mumbai, in the Godrej Garden Township.
Set up in an empty grain store with ten pupils on 15th August 1955,
today the primary section has 780 students between the ages of 6 and 10.
All learning is through
hands-on activities with the teachers’ creativity coming to the fore.
Technology may be used and modern ideas introduced, but there is no compromise
on values being instilled in the children. A secular atmosphere is fostered and
every festival is celebrated.
There is a great deal of
learning from nature and nurturing the environment takes a front seat in the
educational process. The ISO 14001 Certificate credits that fact.
An optimum teacher-pupil
ratio ensures that every teacher is committed to the cause of making a
difference in each child’s life. A warm, caring atmosphere pervades every
classroom. Children from all walks of life are admitted. Inclusive education is
practised and children with special needs find a place in the regular
classrooms. The school was awarded the International School Award (2013-16) for
bringing in a global dimension into the curriculum.
Our vision conveys our
commitment to raise our students as socially responsible global citizens, with
a sense of humour and confidence to face the real world with honesty and
integrity.
